				This module forms part of the MSc Physiotherapy programme at Keele which is an innovative programme of study which prepares the graduate for clinical practice in changing health and social care settings. The Advancing Assessment and Treatment Skills module builds upon both the Essentials of Physiotherapy Assessment and Foundations of Physiotherapy Management modules.   Students will develop their knowledge, skills and higher order clinical reasoning  within several specialties of physiotherapy, including older adults, musculoskeletal, neurological and cardiovascular and respiratory practice.Teaching will be delivered by a blended approach with both in-situ, and online (asynchronous and synchronous) learning and teaching strategies to ensure that all required knowledge, evaluation and understanding of key principles in physiotherapy are delivered for all types of learners. The teaching and learning strategies will be adjusted for individuals as required by the academic tutors to ensure a student-facing learning environment.

				To enable the student to integrate and synthesise material developed in the Essentials of Physiotherapy Assessment and Foundations of Physiotherapy Management, in order to enable students to comprehensively assess and treat patients in specialist areas of practice.
